La Belle Province!

When somebody mentions Montreal, and you are over a certain age, you immediately think of the Olympics.

For sports minded people the first thought that comes to mind are the Habs, or maybe the Al's or Expo's.

For a lot of people it's strippers and bank robbers, because that's where they all come from.

For the rest of us, when somebody mentions Montreal, or Quebec in general, the first thing that comes to mind are whining separatists, or corrupt politicians and public servants.

No big deal!

But, when MacLeans magazine does an article on the systemic corrupion in La Belle Province all the whinners are suddeny converted into indignant, besmirched victims of cultural prejudice who scream "Lawsuit" at the drop of a hat!

Listen kids, as my mother always told me, ya can never get into trouble for telling the truth, so let those litagation hungry Quebecers take their best shot....!

They don't stand a chance!

The Muslim Problem?

Although it's a rather simple solution to the problem of tensions between Christians and Muslims due to the threat of an Islamic Fundamentalist minority, it is unfortunately also one that cannot be reasonably accomplished in the foreseeable future! (Damn)

I ran across a map that showed the distribution of Islamic and Christian populations in the world and other than isolated pockets of Muslims in North America, the Balkans in Europe, and small parts of Russia, (Who should be in NATO anyway!) the rest of the followers of Muhammad are in Africa, the Middle East (including Turkey) and points East from there.

The Muslims are not going to make any further inroads in Russia, and certainly not in China, which leaves us a clear dividing line between the two religions at Turkey, Russia, Mongolia and China.

What I propose is this!

In the NATO countries (North America, Europe, Russia)we should have governments and laws that lean towards a secular or Christian ideology without any bullshit from the minorities, and in Northern Africa, the Middle East, and points beyond, let them set up any sort of Islamic state they want.

Naturally both sides will have to set up multilateral protection for the minorities within their borders, but if things get too rank for some people......well, they have the option of state assistance in going to where they would be more welcome!

That's right folks, I'm talking about segregation......... at least until the radical elements in the Muslim world get their act together, and we have some sort of a "Reformation" of Islam!

(That would only leave Israel out in the cold, and if worse came to worse we could always give them Long Island..... or Utah!)
