Here is a guy who was dead set against GMO’s (genetically modified foods) the same as some people are bent out of shape about fluoridation of water, immunization shots, climate change, nuclear power, conspiracy theories, evolution, UFO’s, Religion, political correctness, etc. etc.
imagesCA6LHLW7The trouble with ALL these people is IGNORANCE!
That’s right!

I’m talkin’ about STUPIDITY, folks ………………………, uneducated, misinformed, biased and prejudiced opinions, that form and fester because people won’t EDUCATE themselves, but would rather wallow in their own prejudices and misconceptions.
This article is a prime example of someone who should have known better, but didn’t ………………………., until he took the time to EDUCAMATE HISELF!
(This also makes this guy our “Winner of the Day!”)

The man widely credited with helping start the movement against genetically modified foods, only to become the planet’s most vocal GM food proponent, says it may be the best hope for a world struggling to feed itself.
Environmentalist Mark Lynas, a British author specializing in climate change, once trashed fields that had genetically modified crops, believing they were home to unhealthy food bred by a conspiracy of greedy corporations.
But after applying the scientific rigour he used to investigate climate change, and hearing out top scientists, he switched sides. Critics called him a sell-out.
The Free Press quizzed him on several topics at Monday’s grain growers convention:
ON HIS CONVERSION:
“I feel morally culpable to an extent for having been involved in the beginning of the anti-GMO movement. We spread disinformation, we spread fear.”
ON BACKLASHES:
“There’s been a campaign of hysteria and misinformation” to sustainable farming in parts of Africa that’s led activists to destroy disease-resistant crops that offer subsistence farmers their only chance of survival.
ON ‘GOLDEN RICE’ :
Rice genetically infused with beta-carotene can prevent blindness and save some of the two million people who die each year of vitamin A deficiency. Yet, activists in the Phillippines trashed test plots, “despite the lifesaving potential.”
ON CRITICISM OF GM CROPS:
“People want to use this as a symbol for their concerns about modern agriculture. It’s not ……………., it’s just another way of breeding seeds.”
