First of all, they want to ban the ‘Chuck Wagon Races’ and this is an issue which has me a little conflicted because horses do get killed at the Stampede almost every year and a good percentage of these are at the races. But, if ya look at it pragmatically,……………………………, that’s life, ya take your chances!

intervenes in an assassination attempt on Kevin Keller, Archie Comics’
first openly gay character. Andrews’ death, which was first announced in
April, will mark the conclusion of the series that focuses on grown-up
renditions of Andrews and his Riverdale pals.
“The way in which Archie dies is everything that you would expect of
Archie,” said Jon Goldwater, Archie Comics publisher and co-CEO. “He
dies heroically. He dies selflessly. He dies in the manner that
epitomizes not only the best of Riverdale but the best of all of us.
It’s what Archie has come to represent over the past almost 75 years.”

birth a few days ago, and was then promptly put behind bars. She was the
first to be charged under a controversial new state law that allows
women who use illegal drugs while pregnant to be prosecuted for assault.
Tennessee’s law is the first of its kind in the United States. It went into effect in April. Loyola, charged on Tuesday, gave birth to a baby that tested positive for meth. She was taken into police custody as she was being discharged from the hospital and her bond was set at $2,000, according to local news reports.

the law. “It punishes pregnant women who decide to remain pregnant

India is known to have religions that practice the art of meditation. Recently, the Indian court has been asked to rule if a Hindu guru is really dead or just in a deep state of meditation.

wife and son of one of India’s wealthiest spiritual leaders, His
Holiness Shri Ashutosh Maharaj, claim that their family member died in
December, but his followers say otherwise.
Being the founder of the Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan religious
order, his body is now being preserved in a deep freezer until he “comes
back.”
A statement on the group’s website reads: “His Holiness Shri Ashutosh
Maharaj ji has been in deep meditative state (samadhi) since 29th
January 2014.”“Maharaj has been in deep meditation. He has spent many years meditating in sub-zero temperatures in the Himalayas. There is nothing unusual [about] it. He will return to life as soon as he feels, and we will ensure his body is preserved until then,” one of his aides said.
His son, Dilip Jha, meanwhile, believes that members of the religious organization are holding the release of his father’s body because they do not want to give up control of his financial wealth.

The Costa Concordia was re-floated today, boys and girls.
In what has become one of the largest salvage operations in history, air was pumped into 30 large metal boxes, or sponsons, attached around the hull of the 114,500 tonne ship. The air forced out the water in the sponsons, lifting the vessel off the underwater platform.
Paying for the disaster, including breaking up the vessel and repairing the damage to Giglio, is likely to cost the ship’s owner and operator Costa Crociere, a unit of Carnival Corp, more than 1.5 billion euros (1.19 billion pounds), its chief executive said last week.

Prince Edward island Report!
In what’s been described as the “Crime of the Century” RCMP on Prince Edward Island say a woman has been charged after a stabbing at a home in Murray River.
Police say officers were called to the home on Friday evening after a 33-year-old man had been stabbed several times.
(He was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.)
