At first glance I thought all the stuff about Jian Ghomeshi was a fabrication and “get even” by his former girlfriend. (After all, this wouldn’t be the first time a jilted lover made up a bunch of shit to get back at someone.)
BUT!
Jian Ghomeshi came out and proclaimed that it was a private matter, and no one’s business! (In other words, he verified that at least the basics of the allegations were true!)
OK, now we have a conundrum folks!
Normally his wouldn’t be an issue, but since Mr. Ghomeshi is a very public figure, he is in the same boat as politicians, and other people who are considered our leaders and mentors.
“This means there is no “Get out of Jail Free” card, Jian.
The CBC was absolutely right in firing him because it damages the reputation of the entire Corporation. (After all, it took them years to quell the flames about all the gays that worked there, without adding this fuel to the fire!)
P.S. BY THE WAY, WE APOLOGIZE FOR SUGGESTING YESTERDAY THAT THERE WAS A MIDGET INVOLVED IN THAT SEX SCANDAL …, SINCE IT WAS OBLIVIOUSLY A “FROG!”
