TORONTO – A family seeking the return of their “monkid” is vowing to relocate to the deep woods of Ontario in a bid to get him back.

Monkey owner Yasmin Nakhuda is pursuing legal action in order to retrieve her pet — also known as Darwin, the world-famous Ikea monkey — after being “coerced” into surrendering him to Toronto Animal Services following his escape from her car at a North York Ikea store last Sunday.
Her lawyer Ted Charney likened it to having a car towed and not returned after paying the fine.
