Dear Readers;
The Internet is 50 years old today. In 1982, the Internet Protocol Suite (TCP/IP) was standardized and the concept of a world-wide network of fully interconnected TCP/IP networks called the Internet was introduced and it officially started Jan. 1st, 1983.
The Internet has enabled entirely new forms of social interaction, activities, and organizing, thanks to its basic features such as widespread usability and access.
The terms Internet and World Wide Web are often used interchangeably in everyday speech; it is common to speak of going on the Internet when connected to the WEB.
However, the Internet is a particular global computer network connecting millions of computing devices; the World Wide Web is just one of many services running on the Internet. The Web is a collection of interconnected documents (Web pages) and other resources, linked by hyperlinks and URLs.[5] In addition to the Web, a multitude of other services are implemented over the Internet, including e-mail, file transfer, remote computer control, newsgroups, and online games. Web (and other) services can be implemented on any intranet, accessible to network users.
Yes dear readers, in a short half a century we have gone from ‘nothing,’ and utter chaos, to having the Internet become “self-aware” and bringing order to society, by controlling almost all facets of our lives. That is why the government, on this historic first day of  2033 is turning over control of most  mundane, everyday matters to the “Net,” so that our lives can be made more productive and rewarding.
I realize that there are those who would accuse the Perspective Research Department and Naked News Staff of acquiescing to pressure from the Department of Truth………., but I can assure you that this is not the case!
Your humble servant;
Allan W Janssen
