Rogers customers experienced widespread outages on home and cellular wireless internet services Wednesday that lasted more than three hours.

The affected areas stretch across Southern Ontario, including your faithful reporter!

The cause of the outage is currently unknown although there are speculations that a blown transformer might be at fault.

Customers took to twitter to vent their anger.

-I was on hold with @RogersHelps for 2.5 hours and then the service cut me off. Yeah, I am incredibly angry.

-$80 a month to have my service die periodically for no reason & no updates other than on facebook? Big @RogersHelps
