People who work at the Montreal SPCA have been caring for homeless cats and dogs for years, but now they’re facing a new challenge — chickens.
Raising chickens for fresh eggs is a growing trend in Montreal, but the local Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals says every week hens and roosters are being abandoned by owners unable to take care of them.

Cornered NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden has surfaced in Moscow’s Sheremetevo International Airport – and he’s seeking asylum in Russia.

ex-russian-spy-wants-to-marry-edward-snowden-1373059848-6536Snowden, who blew the lid off the Americans’ mass surveillance of the planet’s internet, previously requested asylum in the country, but withdrew it after President Vladimir Putin said that would only be possible if the leaker stopped harming the US (he must “cease his work aimed at inflicting damage on our American partners”, as the ex-KGB officer put it).

But it was revealed during a press conference today that the whistleblower has again applied for political asylum in Moscow to avoid extradition to the States.
PLUS! Ex-Russian spy Anna Chapman (born Anna Vasil’yevna Kushchyenkohas) has reportedly agreed to marry Snowden, according to New York Daily News.
Ms. Chapman, 31, took to Twitter last week to offer her proposal to Snowden.
Ain’t love grand?

Giant retailer Walmart says it will post signs in stores across Canada warning people about the dangers of leaving pets in hot cars, a day after an employee claimed she was fired for confronting a customer who had left his dog in a vehicle amid sweltering temperatures.
About half an hour before her shift began on Wednesday, Carla Cheney, a pharmacy technician at the Kemptville, Ont., store, watched a Newfoundlander dog jump out of a truck window twice before a man put the dog back in the vehicle and rolled up the windows.
Upset, she confronted the man.
“I said he should not be leaving his dog in the car. The man said it was none of my business.”
“I was pretty upset and I said to my manager, ‘What do I do?’ He said it was none of our business and went into the store.”
Concerned, Cheney called the police, who came and spoke with the man.
Part way through her shift Wednesday, Cheney was called to the office and told she was being terminated for being rude to a customer. She was then escorted from the building.

During a candid interview with Hot 97′s Angie Martinez on Tuesday, July 9, the Magna Carta Holy Grail rapper revealed that he would love to have more children one day to keep 18-month-old daughter Blue Ivy company.
“Absolutely, God willing,” he replied when Martinez asked whether he’d like to have more kids, joking that he would ideally like “a little basketball team” worth of children.

“Man of Steel” star Henry Cavill and “Big Bang Theory’s” Kaley Cuoco have split.
Sources told The Perspective Research Department that the pair, who were first rumored to be dating at the start of July, have already gone their separate ways.
The pair was captured by the paparazzi earlier this month hiking in Los Angeles and also shopping for groceries.
They were seen holding hands at one point, prompting speculation the romance was serious.
But, it appears to have fizzled, and Kaley (Penny) has gone back to Leonard.

The George Zimmerman and Trayvon Martin dog and pony show is reaching it’s conclusion in the next few days, and since we here at Perspective don’t give a shit about the outcome……………………………., nothing will be reported!
(This whole thing is blown out of all proportions by the press, and has been turned into a “racist” media frenzy, just like the Paula Deen story!)

The old Reform Party was always accused of being anti-immigration. ‘They’ll close the doors’ was a narrative perpetuated by the left as a scare tactic against the upstart renegades from the West.
But Jason Kenney — Canada’s most pro-active immigration minister in recent memory — has proven that was far from the truth.
Kenney’s party is being accused of being too immigrant friendly.
And the one doing the accusing is environmental activist David Suzuki.
David-Suzuki-CP-160x160In a Canada Day interview published in French newsmagazine L’Express, Suzuki lauded Canada’s multicultural harmony, but also said that our immigration policy is “crazy.”

Here’s an excerpt of the interview as translated by theNational Post.
Canada is full too!
Although it’s the second largest country in the world, our useful area has been reduced.
Our immigration policy is disgusting: We plunder southern countries by depriving them of future leaders, and we want to increase our population to support economic growth. It’s crazy!
Suzuki’s parents — of course — weren’t born in Canada either.
Maybe we should send Suzuki and his kin back to Japan, or wherever it is they came from!
