Dear Readers:
Over in Alberta, and just about any other jurisdiction that has wind turbines, there is absolutely NO opposition to them!
Matter of fact, everybody and his uncle are clamoring to get in on the action by placing one of these windmills on their property!
SO WHY THE OPPOSITION HERE IN ONTARIO?
Blame Canada Ontario!
The Ontario government did not do enough to educate the public about wind turbines, and instead just started sticking them in the ground all over the place.
This gave the local “nay-Sayers” a chance to rally around a new cause, and “educate” people about the dangers of wind turbines! [sic]
Now, here is the question:
Does it make any difference to the opponents of wind energy that all their arguments are wrong and they are just generally misinformed?
NOT IN THE SLIGHTEST!
Health Canada just released a definitive study on the effects of wind turbines on people, and found there were no ill effects at all! Ever! No way!
SO!
What did the nay-Sayers do and say?

The legal battle to halt wind farms won’t be abandoned because of a Health Canada study released last week, opponents of the turbines say.
The Health Canada study dismissed claims wind farms cause medical problems for people living nearby.
“It makes no difference at all,” said Anita Frayne of Safe Wind Energy for All Residents, a Huron County group backing a lawsuit that claims the Ontario government didn’t exercise due diligence when crafting the Green Energy and Economy Act.
Frayne said the widely publicized Health Canada study was only a preliminary analysis of the data and it hasn’t been peer reviewed.
“It doesn’t provide any definitive answers on its own. I think the real question is, why did they even decide to release this at this point?” she said.
In publishing the study on its website, Health Canada said it was trying to be more open and transparent.
Despite the study’s findings, Frayne said, opposition to the wind farms continues to gain momentum.
Frayne’s group backs a widely watched lawsuit by Shawn and Tricia Drennan, landowners in the area of the massive K2 wind farm under construction north of Goderich.
The Drennans had tried to collect health information from people living within wind farms who had been bought out by the wind companies.
But the Drennans were told the residents were blocked from providing the information because of clauses in their buyout agreements.
The couple is asking a London court to invalidate non-disclosure clauses that gag their neighbours.
The case is to be heard Nov. 17 to Nov. 19.
“This has the potential to help everybody. . . . There is no intention to back up from it all,” Frayne said.
Another challenge against a wind farm planned for Lambton County is set to be heard by the Ontario Environmental Review Tribunal Nov. 12 to Nov. 14 and Nov. 20 to Nov. 21.
The County of Lambton, Municipality of Plympton-Wyoming and a family are appealing the approval of Suncor’s Cedar Point Wind Power Plant Project.
