The left-wing is crazy and the right-wing scares the shit out of me!

Allan's Perspective is NOT recommended for the politically correct, or the overly religious. Some people have opinions. Some people have convictions......... What we offer is PERSPECTIVE!

Jews for Justice!

 Dear Readers:

Well it seems the left wing nuts, led by the University crowd ....., those 'tilting at windmills' Don Quixote types, are cutting off their nose to spite their face again!
Some of McGill University’s donors are rethinking their financial support in reaction to Monday’s vote in favour of a motion calling for boycott, divestment and sanctions against Israel.

The vote still has to be ratified by McGill students, but even if it's voted down, reaction has been swift and furious to the initial successful BDS motion.
“I recognize that it's O.K. to criticize Israel, that's fine, but if you criticize Israel and only Israel and ignore what I consider to be far more significant human rights violations in pretty much every other country in the Middle East … it's hard to make the case that it's not an anti-Semitic motion,” he said.
Members of McGill’s BDS Action Network, which promotes the BDS campaign, say they're not surprised by the reaction. One of the prominent Arabs who is leading this protest, Zahra Habib said: “We've seen the same thing happen at other universities. There is always resistance to movements that challenge the status quo!”

(To put this whole thing into 'Perspective' think about where you would rather live folks ......, Israel, Pakistan, or Saudi Arabia?)

BUT!

Things aren't all that great ANYWHERE in the Middle-East folks! Ya got the usual bullshit in Syria, Yemen, and Libya, but that doesn't mean the rest of the place is much better:
CAIRO (AP) — An Egyptian court has convicted four Coptic Christian teenagers for contempt of Islam on Thursday, after they appeared in a video mocking Muslim prayers, sentencing three to five years in prison and referring a fourth, who is under 18, to a juvenile detention facility.
The harsh ruling — which has followed a surge of blasphemy cases in Egyptian courts — underscores a culture of intolerance within the country's judicial system at a time when the Egyptian president is seeking to position himself as an advocate for religious reform.
Their teenagers' lawyer, Maher Naguib, said his clients, who are high school students in the southern province of Minya, haven't been detained and didn't appear in court for the trial.
He described the ruling as "unbelievable" and said the judge should have just punished the teenagers with a fine.
The video was filmed by the students' teacher, who is also a Christian, and who was sentenced to three years in prison for insulting Islam in a separate trial.

Common wisdom says that if ya want to know something ...., you ask Morgan Freeman, right?

Well now Morgan will never steer you wrong since he was made the voice for a popular GPS navigation system. Yup, you and Morgan can now 'Boldly Go!'

Boy have we got an "Asshole of the Day" for ya today kids ....!
According to KCENTV.com, Parents Christina Fabian and George Alvarado were taking their son, Giovanni, on a special trip when their plans were thwarted after Giovanni had an allergic reaction while boarding the flight.
The special trip was a vacation intended to keep Giovanni’s mind off of his father George battling stage 4 throat cancer.
When the parents reached out to the flight attendant about the emergency, ultimately delaying the flight, and explained their son’s dog allergy, the attendant smirked and remarked that there were dogs on every flight, and that they would need to get off the plane.
As the family gathered their things, frustrated passengers began to sarcastically clap while the family was helped off of the plane.

Good news for any poor slob standing on the corner of Portage and Main in Downtown Winnipeg. (Know where it's better than this location in the middle of February? ANYWHERE!)

Thursday will start off like most days in winter, dull and cloudy, but the skies will clear by TOMORROW afternoon, and sunshine will prevail for the weekend!
