At the start of Earth Hour, (8:30 P.M.) your humble reporter was all set
to write a stirring editorial about our attempts to live in harmony
with Mother Nature, but as luck would have it ...................., I
had turned the lights off and couldn't see a damned thing!
From 8:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., Canadians joined the rest of the world in turning off their power. (Earth Hour was first launched in 2007 by the World Wildlife Fund in Sydney, Australia. Since then, millions of people around the world have continued to turn off their lights for an hour to show their support for an urgent need to address climate change.)
