Still getting screwed by cable TV!

Dear Readers:

Well it's been just over a week now since the new rules for cable TV came into effect, and it's amazing how the cable companies are handling it!

First of all, when a new service comes into the cable world there is normally a big fanfare and all sorts of hoopla surrounding the announcement, but this time, since the price went DOWN there was nary a peep from Rogers! (I live in London, Ont, so the choice for cable is very limited to begin with.)

Not only that, but all the old, (read; 'more expensive') packages are still listed on the web-page, and the newer one that is fifteen bucks a month cheaper, is waaaaaay down at the bottom ........, and unlike the more expensive stuff, I couldn't find anyplace to click on that choice!!!!

What I did notice was that Rogers is promoting the hell out of their TV "bundles," and once you sign up for one of them you're also locked into the more expensive basic channels!

The shit list for some of their sleight-of-hand promotions are long and varied, and much to complicated to briefly discuss here, but I can assure you bunky that after everything is said and done, we will all end up paying more for less!
