Dear Friends: Memebers of the Perspective Research Department just came back from England where they were on assignment to a three-day event held in Birmingham, England for the UK's first ever public Flat Earth Convention.
Apparently the convention was well attended and things were going extremely well during the opening remarks until they had a brief intermission and several of the members went out back for a smoke! (They still smoke a lot more over there than they do here folks!)
What no-one noticed, or just didn't think about was the fact that the back of the convention centre was situated right on the Edge of the World and as soon as anyone went out back for a smoke (and since it was already dark outside) they naturally fell over the edge and disappeared. (Serves them right for being stupid enough to believe that the Earth is flat!)
Police eventually put up that yellow caution tape and the back doors were locked......, but not before they lost about 25 people.
Other than that reports are that the convention was a great success and a good time was had by all!
