No rhyme nor reason?

Dear Friends:  Even though I hate Donald Drumpf and despise everything he says and does there is a reason his base loves him and he got elected. It can best be summed up in the following question: What do you think happened to America to bring about a President like Trump?

1. Unfettered Illegal Immigration - You can’t allow 11 million people to walk over your southern border and take up residency in your country without a significant number of the American people at some point saying ‘enough is enough’. Trump was the first candidate in memory whose rhetoric on illegal immigration matched the seriousness with which the American people take the issue.
2. Affirmative Action - You can’t give people special treatment - college admissions preferences, government contracts, hiring, —based solely on the color of their skin without there at some point being a backlash
3. The Effects of Globalisation-Automation - The American working class has been hurting for years and Trump was the first candidate in a long time to speak directly to them and say ‘help is on the way’ (whether or not his policy solutions are wise or will be effective is debatable but that’s another answer, for another question)
4. Political Correctness - If you put your hand on your co-workers bare shoulder you might get a trip to HR, could even get fired. You need to address that transgender person as ‘they’. Safe spaces on college campuses. High profile people getting fired for slipping up and saying the wrong thing. Speakers on college campuses being protested and disinvited. Trump said whatever the hell he wanted whenever the hell he wanted and the fact that it was ‘anti-politically correct’ in the extreme significantly overrode the fact that some of it was offensive or vulgar.

Hate him or love him, agree or disagree with his policies, Trump has either delivered or made serious efforts to deliver on all four of the above. (For the sake of brevity I won't mention anything else...., or hazzard a guess on what the hell is going on down there!)
