Why the United States lost the Olympics!

OK folks! Now that the Uh-mericans have had a few days to get over the fact that Chicago didn't get the 2016 Olympics, I'm-a-gonna tell 'em why!

Chicago didn't have a ghost of a chance of winning the Olympics because of one great big reason, and a second smaller, but still important one!

Reason number one can be attributed to one person....... George W Bush!

Americans are sort of isolated from world opinion, but believe me when I say that Georgie boy and his buddies screwed up any good-will America had in the world for quite a few years to come.

That might actually be George's legacy....... screwed everything up!

Not only that, but the rest of you are going to pay for it through your wallets (or nose) for years and years and years!

Don't quote me on this, but in a few hundred years the Bush Administration might be the time that historians point to when they talk about the decline of America as a world power!

Honest! Trust me on this, as an impartial but concerned outsider....., I can see it coming!

The second reason you didn't get the Olympics?

America's growing isolationism.

The United States is slowly turning into "Fortress America" and most people don't want the aggravation of going through U.S. customs and border checks....... especially hundreds of thousands of Olympic fans!
