The Socialist Party of Canada has a website H E R E that everyone in this country should read if they are the least bit depressed!
(You will laugh your ass off!)
I got wind of it and spent about an hour looking it over to see if they had any good ideas that you, my loyal readers, should know about!
(Remember, these are the people who protested for years against the Auto Pact, which turned out to be the greatest economic boom that Canada has ever seen!)
I'm sorry to report that they go the way of most groups that are too caught up in their own rhetoric, and by this I mean that they don't have a firm grasp of reality.
A bit of socialism is good for a country because after all, this is the place that gave birth to Tommy Douglas's CCF Party when he led the first socialist government in North America and introduced universal public health care to Canada.
BUT!
Too much of a good thing can spoil the broth. (Like when the NDP got elected in Ontario and royally screwed things up for years after! )
No sir, moderation is the key!
Besides, Socialism is the same as Communism.........., looks great on paper, but just doesn't work in real life!
