CALGARY - Five men armed with machetes and bats stormed a southeast condo Wednesday in the city’s latest home invasion that left two men injured.(Meanwhile, in Turo, Nova Scotia, police report four kids threw snowballs at a guy walking down their street! -Ed.)
Police were called to the 2500 block of 10 Ave. S.E. in Calgary at about 6 p.m. Wednesday after the group broke into a home and beat up the two men inside.
One man was taken to hospital with slash wounds to his arm and back, said Insp. Terry Larson.
The men then fled the home and made their way to the Max Bell Arena, where Larson said police believe they took a cab to the 100 block of Applewood Lane S.E.
Larson said four people were being questioned Wednesday night.
