Unless you live in British Columbia, 'Global Warming' can't come soon enough for most Canadians.
Parts of New Brunswick and Nova Scotia are expected to get up to 25 cm of snow today, forecasters said. The system should reach Newfoundland come nightfall.
This is the sixth powerful winter storm to pound the Atlantic provinces in the past two months. Why do people stay there?
Storms have caused flooding, knocked out power, closed schools and toppled trees. Millions of dollars have been spent already to clean up the damage, and the long range forecast doesn't seem to be too promising.
Meanwhile, I phoned my sister in Voictoria yeasterday and she was working on her garden ouside in the sunshine!
I then phoned my daughter in Vancouver and she was just going out for a walk since it was 10 degrees and sunny!
I think I'll go on a bummer!
(I was in B.C. for two years in the early 70's......, and regret ever coming back!)
