The cops have charged a London, Ont., man with bribery for allegedly offering money to a police officer to let him go free.
Harjit Sahota, 48, is charged with bribery, which carries a maximum sentence of 14 years in prison.
Now I don’t know what Nationality Mr. Sahota is, but that’s NOT the way we do things over here!
Police said officers were called to an intersection at about 6:30 p.m. Sunday here in London to investigate a minor collision.
According to police, the driver of one vehicle refused to provide a breath sample and was arrested, charged with impaired driving and failing to provide a breath sample.
“(He) not only refused the breath demand but prior to getting to the station he allegedly offered the officer money to let him go as if nothing happened,” said traffic Sgt. Tom O’Brien.
It’s like we said before, Harjit!
If you want to fit in around here, ya gotta learn the ropes!
When a cop makes seventy or eighty grand a year, offering him a coouple of hundred bucks to look the other way just doesn’tcut it!
(One thing for sure, when this guy gets to court you can bet your bottm dollar that his laywer will say; “Well, that’s the way they do it in his old country……., so what do you expect!”)
