'Experts' running the asylum in Canada

Dear Readers; Every once in a while we get a voice of reason amidst the confusion, and when it happens it is such a breath of fresh air!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Do you ever feel like you went to sleep one night and woke up the next day to find the country had changed? That the Canada you knew was gone?

Right about now it feels like the inmates are running the prisons.

Next week marks the fifth anniversary of the Caledonia occupation, where native protestors walked onto a housing development, claimed the land and chased the workers off. The Ontario government responded by buying the land from the housing developers and using police to protect the thugs and protesters while ignoring crimes against the residents of Caledonia.

The feds’ role in all this? They’ve been offering hundreds of millions of dollars to settle this land claim, all of it rejected, so they will offer more money.

None of this passes the smell test for ordinary Canadians, but our betters in government, in the police forces and the “expert” class tell us not to worry about it.

Same thing with our immigration system, which has been badly abused for years.

Did you know there is a man we’ve been trying to deport for nearly 23 years?

Mahmoud Mohammad Issa Mohammad isn’t just any man — he’s also a hijacker and convicted terrorist, but we let him stay because we allow unlimited appeals.

Mohammad helped hijack an Israeli jetliner in Greece in 1968. One person died due his antics, which included wild machine gun fire and the throwing of grenades. Not surprisingly, Mohammad lied about his conviction before a Greek court when he arrived in Canada in the late ’80s and sought to make a life here.

Yet when Immigration Minister Jason Kenney complained in a speech that the courts were slowing down cases that should be over, the Refugee Lawyers Association of Ontario claimed the minister “crossed the line.”

The Refugee Lawyers Association would prefer no one question judges, or lawyers for that matter.

Judges could use a lot more questioning and so could lawyers.

I was shocked a few weeks ago to show up to listen to the Commons Justice Committee debate a bill on tougher sentences for sexual predators who target children. At that hearing, the Criminal Lawyers’ Association said Bill C-54, also known as the Protecting Children from Sexual Predators Act, was too tough because it had mandatory minimum sentences.

The bill seeks to raise some existing mandatory minimums from 14 days to 90 days while others would go up to one year for people who sexually abuse children. Of course, the lawyers think any minimum sentence is wrong for their clients because it ties the hands of judges, and politicians, they say, shouldn’t do that.

Funny, I don’t hear them arguing against maximum sentences using the same arguments.

Of course, the criminal lawyers are not the only ones arguing against a bill that targets pedophiles and perverts. There’s the opposition parties, all three of them.

But what really shocked me was the Universite de Montreal professor, Dr. Hubert Van Gijseghem, who showed up to tell MPs pedophilia was a sexual orientation just like heterosexuality or homosexuality.

Leave it to the experts.

Normal, everyday Canadians wouldn’t reward thugs who take land by force or say perverts are just like everyone else. Nor would most Canadians let convicted terrorists ordered deported spend more than 20 years appealing to the courts.

But that’s what the expert class would have us do.

And that’s why it’s time to take our country back by ignoring the “experts.”
