Saturday Morning Confusion!

I am really confused about the budget debate in the United States!

The reason I mention this is because anything they do affects us, and if America goes bankrupt....... then we are in deep do-do as well.

Here's a couple of quick facts....... just to get the old noggin going!

Let's compare the U.S. budget with a wage earner who gets a salary. (Since both are considered income!)

Since the States is a rich country we will give our comparable wage earner the title of "big shit executive," and say he makes $200,000 dollars a year.

The only problem is he spends $350,000 dollars a year!

AND.............! He has debts of 1.4 MILLION on his credit cards!

So, do we see a problem kids?

He has got to cut his expenses!

Simple.

No ifs, ands, buts or maybes.

First thing he does is drop his medical insurance, and takes his daughter out of private school.

(He leaves his mother in the old age home because there is no way the old broad is coming to live with him!)

He stops the renovations on his house and considers selling his cottage.

Trades in his new Toyota for a three year old GM.

Cancels any plans for a vacation this year.

Puts less money in his 401 account.

Stops giving to charities, and helping his down and out brother-in-law, and Uncle Charlie.

Threatens his neighbour Mohammad, who owns a gas station. Tells him he wants a better deal on his gas or he will just take it!

His bank went broke, so he lets them keep the money in his savings account!

Starting to get the story?

OH, ONE OTHER THING!

He spends way over $100,000 dollars a year to send his son to military school. But with that crazy Arab across the street from him, (That's the guy who owns the gas station) and some thieving Chinese guy down the road, (He runs the Wal-Mart) there is no way he will send his son to a public school!

And on, and on!

(I actually left out a lot of stuff ..... but you get the idea!)
