Mike Hackabee is a wildly successful politician and Right-Wing political commentator.

Natalie Portman is a wildly successful Hollywood Actress who is living with her boyfriend and is about to have a baby!

Mike Huckabee was critical of the Oscar-winner this week in an interview with radio host Michael Medved, implying Portman did not set a good example for the youth of America. (The Wall Street Journal said today that Portman’s publicist did not immediately respond to a request for a comment.)

After reading this story, the first thought that crossed my mind was that Mike Huckabee was one of those right-wing jerks who was sure that Natalie was going to HELL for being an unwed mother!

Then I read a little further down the page, and I had to change my opinion of Mike in a hurry!

Huckabee, said Portman’s financial resources glossed over the real burden on single mothers. “Most single moms are very poor, uneducated, can’t get a job, and if it weren’t for government assistance, their kids would be starving to death and never have health care,” Huckabee said. “That’s the story that we’re not seeing.”

Now for THAT, dear readers, I have to say that I agree…………., and I like the cut of his jib!
