It's time for Bettman to "take off!"

Why?

Because that's what he told Air Canada folks. (One of the biggest sponsors of the National Hockey league!)

O.K. Let's start at the beginning.

I am one of the nine middle-aged men in Canada who doesn't watch sports.

Just the same, that doesn't mean I know nothing about sports...., especially hockey!

What I also know is that Gary Bettman is not a friend of the NHL, in spite of being the Commissioner.

After all, who would do stuff like this. (And this is only the short list)

1. Expand the league into areas that Canadians normally go to when they want to get away from winter! (Florida, Arizona, California)

2. Prevent one of Canada's richest guys from bringing a team into Hamilton, when that city needs all the help it can get!

3. Refuses to listen to the growing uproar about hockey violence.

and

4. When one of the NHL's biggest sponsors threatens to quit if something isn't done about the aforementioned violence, he tells them to take a hike! (Or Take Off!)

This guy is the perfect example of hubris run wild, and if the owners in the NHL have any sense at all, they will boot his ass out of there "tout de suite!"
