There is a sports writer named Kelly Dwyer who obviously doesn’t like Harper,
and this is his reason why!
He wrote an article about how Stephen Harper gave President Obama (Who is a basketball fan) a ball signed by the entire Toronto Raptors team.
Sounds like a nice present you say?
NO, a thousand time NO!
Kelly made it sound as if it was the worst, cheapest, stupidest present anybody ever gave a President.
Forget the old saying that “It’s the thought that counts,” Kelly Dwyer went on and on about how one gift from Germany was worth over $9000, and France gave him $40,000 bucks worth of something else, when, ………………get this!
“ALL PRESIDENTIAL GIFTS WORTH ANY SIGNIFICANT AMOUNT OF MONEY ARE NOT KEPT BY THE PRESIDENT ANYWAY!”
That’s right bunky, if they are valuable they go right into the archives, or put on display somewhere or other.
The basketball is one of the few presents Obama might be able to keep!
