Is this a police state?

I told you about my step-daughter getting in a small fender bender that didn’t do any damage, and yet she had the cops show up at her place of work about an hour later even though nobody theoretically knows anything about her…., especially where she works!

I went to a lawyer to ask him how this was possible, since she is an extremely private person, and all he could say was: “Oh, they have their ways!”

Now we hear about a kid in his late teens who was arrested for some petty bullshit thing and thrown in jail.
 

About four hours later a different cop goes into the property room and takes the kid’s  cell phone out to be searched.

A lawyer cries “foul” over this illegal search and the cops tell the court it’s no different than searching the kids pants when he was arrested…………., in other words, he had the information on his person!

Fortunately, an appeals court says bullshit to the lower court, and proclaims this act was no different than the cops breaking into the kids house and rummaging through his computer!
