Well folks, there’s no fool like an old fool, but it’s even worse when it’s a confused old fool!
And by confused, I mean: “What was this guy thinking!”
Paul Aronson met the girls through SeekingArrangement.com. It’s a website that claims to assist “beautiful, successful people fuel mutually beneficial relationships.”
However, instead of finding a good time, Aronson ended up bound, and his money gone.
The New York Times reports 17-year-old Shaina Foster met Aronson on a “first date.” When they decided to meet again, she brought along her twin sister Shalaine. Court records say the threesome had an upscale meal and then headed to Aronson’s apartment for a drink.
That’s when the wheels came off the wagon.
“He asked to do things I wasn’t going to do,” she said. “He is ugly, old and disgusting. I tied him up. I took his money and left. He was starting to creep me out.” The New York Post writes the girls used zip ties to restrain Aronson before taking $420 in cash and a credit card. When police arrested the girls, Shaina was shocked.
“The old man reported me? I don’t understand why he reported me,” court documents quote her as saying. Shalaine Foster’s attorney claims his client was caught up in something that wasn’t her doing.
“There’s always that story of the good twin and the bad twin, Brian Kennedy said.
Charges against the two include kidnapping, burglary, grand larceny, and robbery. In case you’re wondering about charges against Aronson, there aren’t any. New York’s age of consent is 17.
