The Oscar winner hosted the second annual iHeartRadio Music Awards on Sunday (29Mar15), and during his opening monologue, he took aim at Kim Kardashian’s stepfather, who has been sporting a more feminine look over the past few months.
Foxx said, “Bruce Jenner will be here, doing some musical performances. He’s doing a ’his’ and ’her’ duet all by himself… Look, I’m just busting your balls. While I still can.”
In Los Angeles’ Shrine Auditorium, the joke was received with a few laughs and muffled groans, while viewers at home took to the Internet to express their outrage over the ill-advised comments.
Celebrity blogger Perez Hilton wrote on Twitter, “Boo! Shame on you iHeartAwards for allowing Jamie Foxx to be transphobic on national television! Those Bruce Jenner jokes were wrong!!!”, while other Twitter users who follow Perez labelled the joke as “crass”, “hateful”, “derogatory” and “ignorant.”
Oh, by the way, Perez Hilton and his readers are once again our “Assholes of the Day!”

A stark reminder to not let your GPS rule your common sense: In East Chicago, Indiana, a man drove off a ramp to a bridge that no longer exists, injuring himself and killing his wife, the and police believe he skirted numerous barricades and warnings as he listened too closely to the guidance of his GPS.Bus driver Harlan Jenifer said the girl swung her legs as she chanted, “All I want is a slushie.”
Surveillance video showed the preschooler sitting on the bus early Friday, chatting to other passengers. Jenifer stopped the bus and called police.
The police took the girl to a hospital, where she was reunited with her mother.
The girl’s father, Timothy Ridgeway, says, “Thank God for the bus driver stopping.”
Authorities say the girl’s family didn’t know she woke up and unlocked the back door before starting her trek through a downpour early Friday.
Officials don’t plan to file charges.

(Reuters) – U.S. cable T.V. operator Cablevision Systems Corp (CVC.N) is planning to make an offer for the New York Daily News as early as this week, valuing the troubled tabloid at just $1, according to a person familiar with the matter.
The offer would come one month after New York media and real estate magnate Mortimer Zuckerman said he was considering selling the newspaper and had hired Lazard Ltd (LAZ.N) to assist with the process. It underscores the declining readership and plunging advertising revenue that have plagued the tabloid for years.
Cablevision’s $1 bid takes into account the New York Daily News’ reported $30 million annual loss and $150 million investment in a printing press, and declining circulation that relies heavily on newsstand sales rather than on subscriptions, the source said.
The source asked not to be identified because the offer has not been formally presented yet. Cablevision declined to comment while a representative for the New York Daily News could not immediately be reached for a comment.
To be sure, newspapers are not the only part of the media industry which is struggling. Cable distributors such as Cablevision and its larger rivals have also been under pressure to stop consumers from dumping their cable subscriptions, or “cutting the cord”, as subscribers shift to internet services such as Netflix and Hulu.
Cablevision also owns the suburban newspaper Newsday. The company, which is controlled by New York’s Dolan family, said last month its number of video customers fell 4.7 percent to 2.68 million in the fourth quarter ended Dec. 31.
Zuckerman is co-founder, executive chairman and former chief executive officer of Boston Properties Inc (BXP.N), a real estate investment trust. New York Daily News’ cross town rival, the New York Post, is owned by Rupert Murdoch’s media conglomerate News Corp.
