Facts about moles and gophers!

Startling news into the Perspective Research Department about 'Moles" and "Gophers" of all things! (Moles dig the tunnels and gophers live in them.)

First a bit of background: 

"Moles are small mammals that are found all over the world. They are often thought of as garden pests, mainly because of their intricate tunnel systems, and though they spend most of the time underground, they are not blind." (On an interesting side-note they are the ONLY mammals that smell in "stereo." If ya don't believe me have a look at the nose of this one!)


Ya see folks, it's that first line of the description that had scientists stumped.

HOW did moles manage to populate the entire planet when there are large bodies of water everywhere and the oceans isolate different parts of the world?

The Answer!

It's their TUNNELS, kids. Seems they are a lot more industrious than we thought, and they built an intricate series of tunnels that connect all the far flung reaches of the world. (And here you thought they were just in your backyard garden variety of pest eh?)

YUP! The little bastards are EVERYWHERE, and they could be right under your house now, doing God only knows what!
