Down in the good ol' U.S. of A. Democratic senators of all stripes are as impressed as they are surprised by Bernie Sanders’ insurgent campaign. But the time has come, they say, for Sanders to start winding things down.

Nearly a dozen Democratic lawmakers suggested in interviews that Sanders should focus more on stopping Donald Trump and less on why he believes Clinton’s stands on trade, financial regulation and foreign policy would make her a flawed president.
“What’s important is not whether or not he gets out, but how he campaigns,” said Sen. Claire McCaskill (D-Mo.). “If the contrast is now about what separates us from Donald Trump, then I think it’s fine. I just hope that we can begin to focus on unifying because obviously a lot of us are perplexed that we could be facing a country led by someone who seems to be a buffoon.”

OH, DID I MENTION THAT THEY WERE ALL HILARY CLINTON SUPPORTERS?

Saskatchewan, the birthplace of Canadian Socialism, a la Tommy Douglas, is keeping up their tradition of looking out for the under-dog!  

Bullying anyone at school, or in any public place like a shopping or playground, may soon become outlawed in Saskatoon, under a proposed bylaw that could land violators a fine of up to $2,500.
A proposed bylaw being presented at city council on Monday defines bullying as an unprovoked, repeated and inappropriate comment or action intended to cause harm or fear, and specifically includes name-calling, gossiping or rumour-mongering.
No one under the age of 12 can be convicted. But for anyone older than 12, a first offence can result in a fine of up to $300. For second or subsequent convictions the fine would be between $300 and $2,500.

Hot news out of Hollywood today, folks! 

Scott Baio became the latest Hollywood figure to endorse Donald Trump for president on the weekend. Telling Fox News' Judge Jeanine Pirro that Trump "speaks like I speak," Baio said that he is "fed up" with Republicans and now considers himself a conservative independent, but values Trump's forthrightness. 
"It's very simple, because when he speaks I understand him," Baio told Pirro. "He speaks like I speak, he communicates with people very well. I want him, as any one person can do, to go into Washington and blow it up."

Scott, that well known Hollywood personality, went on to say that ..........., WAIT A MINUTE, what do ya mean you never heard of Scott Baio?

How about that TV show "Joanie Loves Chachi!"

NO, eh?

We got trouble in River City folks!

A 54-year-old man was treated in hospital for a dog bite after an incident at a bar in downtown St. John's on Friday, police say.

RNC spokesperson Const. Geoffrey Higdon said that police arrived at the Fiddler's Pub on Queen Street at about 8 p.m. on Friday, responding to what he called "unknown trouble" at the bar.


No update on the man's condition was available this morning, but police are still investigating ..........., although they did say the trouble started when the man referred to the dog as a "Son-of-a-Bitch!"

Well boys and girls, letting all those immigrants into Germany over the past few years has come back to bite them in the ass!

Fears of a resurgent far-right in Germany grew Sunday after a group calling itself the armed wing of the country’s new anti-migrant party sent death threats to MPs! 

While it was unclear last night whether those behind the letters had any links to the AfD party leadership, German police are taking the threats seriously and have opened an investigation.

The party has raised alarm among mainstream German politicians with policies including a pledge to reduce the emphasis on teaching the crimes of the Nazis in schools. It has also called for a “zero limit” on asylum seekers, and for German women to have at least three children each.

The party surged to second place in elections in the state of Saxony-Anhalt last week, and won seats in two other regional parliaments, in what was widely seen as a vote against Mrs Merkel’s refugee policy.

Frauke Petry, its new leader, has called for police to be given the power to shoot asylum seekers at the border.

(WELL, ONE THING YA HAVE TO ADMIT ABOUT THE KRAUTS IS THAT THEY SURE KNOW HOW TO GO "BAT-SHIT" CRAZY! -Ed.)

P.S. Please don't send any letters about me calling the Germans "Krauts!" since I'm part German I've been called that all my life. It's  not really such a big deal!

When I was growing up as a kid on the east side of Toronto we had a neighbourhood that was full of of Wops, Spics, Jews, Limeys, Krauts and Frogs .........., but there was a lot less nastiness in these words than there is now!  My, how the world has changed!


Oh yea, and women were always referred to as "broads" by our parents"
