Dear Friends: Your faithful reporter was looking over some old posts I wrote a while back and this one that I wrote just over two years ago reached out and slapped me in the face:
The way I see it anyway!
I just listened to a big long speach by Hilary Clinton about the sins and shortcomings of Donald Drumpf. Although I agree with most of what she said ....., no, better make that all of what she said, but there were two things that came to mind that hasn't been addressed properly.
The first is that Donald Drumpf is not doing this for any of the normal reasons. He is not attempting to be the next President of the United States (POTUS) for any other reason than to feed that monstrous ego of his! Narcissistic personality disorder (NPD) is a disorder characterized by exaggerated feelings of self-importance, an excessive need for admiration, and a lack of empathy for others.
People with the disorder often come across as arrogant, callous, and envious, and tend to be exploitative in their interpersonal relationships. They can be excessively preoccupied with personal adequacy, power, prestige and vanity. As a personality disorder, those with NPD generally have poor insight into their condition and may not acknowledge that their behavior causes problems for others or for themselves.
Poor Donald has got it so bad that if he ever did achieve this goal of being POTUS there is no telling how far this smug self styled demigod would go in his quest for self-satisfaction and grandiosity. Also, because of the inherent flaws in his character, (demagoguery) these shortcomings would be magnified to the point that the man could turn into a modern day Nero, or Caligula.
All of this points to a grim outlook for the good ol' U.S. of A. kids, should "The Donald" be let lose on the world!
The second thing is something that we don't hear much about, but that really should be addressed ......, and that is the question of how many idiots and assholes there are in that country to give this guy the sort of support he is experiencing!

A typical Drumpf supporter is a lower income, lower educated white male who turns on the TV and watches Jerry Springer and Judge Wopner, gets his news from The National Enquirer and Fox News, has a gun in his truck…., and is a Baptist! (And any combination of some, or all, of the above!)
