Dear friends:
There is lots of discussion among physicists in the past few decades about the nature of gravity..... and how it works!
After some careful consideration, your ever inquisitive reporter has come across an answer that just might explain it! (Now I have to admit that there is no statistical way I am smarter than all those egg-heads, so this idea is probably wrong...... but ya never know!)
There is something called 'quantum-entanglement' that might help explain it:
When the Universe expanded this "thing" split into energy and then photons and eventually atoms and they were all still "connected" since they had been the same thing originally (quantum-entanglement) ........ so the "connection" stretched and stretched like a very long rubber band which always wanted to draw itself back to everything else.................. soooooooooooooo!
That's what we call gravity!
Now, the next question is: "What's this rubber band thing?"
Damned if I know!

To get the answer we might have to go all the way back to the birth of the Universe (the big bang) when everything was just one spot, or dot, or point, or thing! (And it was all the same thing, whatever that was!)In quantum physics, entangled particles remain connected so that actions performed on one affect the other, even when separated by great distances. The phenomenon so riled Albert Einstein he called it "spooky action at a distance." ... Entanglement occurs when a pair of particles, such as photons, interact physically.

The way I see it anyway!
