Dear Friends:
Well, I finally did it and went to see the final Star Wars movie today!
(I waited until the holiday season was over so I didn't have to be subjected to big crowds and rowdy people, plus there were no passes during the holidays....., 😉and a Monday afternoon seemed like a good time to go.)
First of all the movie was great and neatly wrapped up the whole storyline from all nine episodes of the series, but what really struck me was when we were walking out after the movie......... I saw all sorts of people who were obviously following the storyline right from the first movie of the series back in the 1970s.
They all had walkers and canes! (Matter of fact a lot of the characters in this movie weren't even born when the series started in the 70s!)
When they first announced that the run would be nine movies (3x3) and they all would come out 3, 4 5 or 6 years apart I remember thinking to myself....... Jesus Christ, I'll be an old man by the time this whole thing is over
And I am!
