STUPID IS AS STUPID DOES!

Please read this before we get to the subject I'd like to discuss today!

In the field of psychology, the Dunning–Kruger effect is a cognitive bias in which people assess their cognitive ability as greater than it is. It is related to the cognitive bias of illusory superiority and comes from the inability of people to recognize their lack of ability. Without the self-awareness of metacognition, people cannot objectively evaluate their competence or incompetence. As described by social psychologists David Dunning and Justin Kruger, the cognitive bias of illusory superiority results from an internal illusion in people of low ability and from an external misperception in people of high ability; that is, "the miscalibration of the incompetent stems from an error about the self, whereas the miscalibration of the highly competent stems from an error about others."

 SO! Stupid people think they're smarter than they are...... and smart people think they're stupider than they are! [Note: This, of course, does not apply to me.] ;>)

This brings us to our boy Donald!

This very stable genius was commenting on the latest report that the mortality rate for Coronavirus was actually about 3.4% instead of 2%!

Donald, as he furrowed his brow in a TV interview last night, said that although the latest estimate is 3.4% ....... he thinks...... after everything is said and done...... that the actual figure will be somewhere under 1%!

Well folks, Donald keeps proving that he must be two people........ no one person could be that stupid!
