Dear Friends:
It seems that the #metoo movement has reached new heights of absurdity! (Or is it lows?)
SO, while I'm a big fan of MSNBC..... I don 't really care much for host Chris Mathews because he constantly interrupts his guests and it breaks the flow of the show.
BUT!
He is one of their main prime-time attractions, so the latest #meetoo/snowflake complaint about his inappropriate behaviour is almost beyond comprehension to me!
I will give you the first part of the article so we can establish what I'm getting at:\
Let me repeat that: Why haven't I fallen in love with you yet?
O.K. I will admit that the remark was a bit stupid.... and certainly, juvenile for a middle-aged man to make to a younger woman.... but to claim this caused psychological harm to the woman is beyond belief.
First of all, the woman is a professional journalist and if something like that can rattle her then she's in the wrong business! (Do you remember a time in the not-so-distant past when women reporters were trying to get into men's locker rooms?)
Second, why didn't she just run to her safe-room eh?
The way I see it anyway!

MSNBC’s Chris Matthews Accused of ‘Inappropriately’ Flirting With Journalist Who Was Guest on His Show.In an essay published on Friday in GQ, former HuffPost reporter Laura Bassett revealed that the unnamed “famous broadcast journalist” she had accused in a 2017 piece of making inappropriate comments to her when she was a guest on his show was MSNBC’s, Chris Matthews.“In 2017, I wrote a personal essay about a much older, married cable news host who inappropriately flirted with me in the makeup room a few times before we went live on his show, making me noticeably uncomfortable on air. I was afraid to name him at the time for fear of retaliation from the network; I’m not anymore. It was Chris Matthews,” Bassett, now a freelance journalist, wrote in GQ. (A representative for MSNBC did not immediately respond to TheWrap’s request for comment.)Bassett said that in 2016, when she was brought on as a guest on Matthews’s show to discuss sexual assault allegations against Donald Trump, she was sitting in a makeup chair when Matthews came over and said to her, “Why haven’t I fallen in love with you yet?”"WHY HAVEN'T I FALLEN IN LOVE WITH YOU YET?"
Let me repeat that: Why haven't I fallen in love with you yet?
