Dear Friends:
My sister phoned me from Vancouver yesterday and asked if I knew about a black bear that had been seen up in a tree close to where I live!
I said that not only did I know about it, but 'The Mrs. Herself' and I were sitting on the patio watching the bear up at the top of a tree about 50 feet from us!
After an all-day standoff, authorities eventually captured the bear that evening and took him away for interrogation and a debriefing!
Meanwhile, things were not that rosy for a giant beaver that was terrorizing communities in southern Alberta to the extent that authorities eventually had to shoot the poor thing!
Not wanting the animal to go to waste they had it stuffed and put it on the side of the Trans Canada Highway!
The way I see it anyway!
