(Shown here is Way-Ti in jail after the infamous "Party!")The Panda, who had been given free reign to wander downtown Beijing as a gesture of good will and to promote the Olympic spirit, got involved in a sidewalk party and apparently had one too many during the festivities!
There were also reports that the Panda made improper advances toward a female Panda who was also at the party, but these rumors have been downplayed by the Chinese authorities.
Way-Ti was heard to say; "Never again, I promise I'll never drink that much again!" (A very hung-over Way-Ti is shown here the day after he made bail!) Meanwhile an official Chinese agency has so far declined to comment except to say a lengthy period of "rehabilitation" is being considered!
