Let's call it the Black House!

I know a ton of stuff has already been said about Obaama-Rama's speech to school kids, but I feel compelled to throw in my two cents worth.

We knew from the get-go that there was a certain percentage of the population that cannot live with the fact that there is a black man in the White House, (Gee, maybe they should change it to the Black House") but this is a fact of life folks, and ya might as well get used to it!

After all, it's historic that there is someone other than a white middle-aged male running things but let's face it, if George Bush hadn't been such a monumental screw-up, there is no way a black man would be President today!

So, for all you red-necked, bigoted bastards who don't like the idea of a nigger in the White House........... you'll just have to live with it bunky!

(Personally, I think it's funny watching you squirm and fume!)

But, something that bothers me even more, is the general decline in civility amongst political parties during the last fifty years or so.

Now both the Republicans and the Democrats in the States, and the major parties here in Canada, have and do engage in various forms of mud-slinging, but recently things have really gotten out of hand with the Conservatives on both sides of the border blazing new trails of hate full and spite full propaganda in attempts to denigrate their opponents.

The most recent example of this is when Obama gave his "stay in school" speech yesterday!

That's all it was folks!

"Stay in School!"

Could they leave that alone?

NOOOOOO!

The Republicans put out a press release before hand claiming that the speech was a thinly disguised attempt at spreading some "left wing propaganda," and parents should keep their kids home from school so they didn't have to hear it!

I'll tell ya what kids, I am by nature a Conservative, but if "stay in school" means becoming a Liberal Democrat, then I'm all for it!
