First of all, although I hate to agree with anything that George "W" said....., (Remember him, middle aged, middle size, middle class texan who was supposed to be leading the States... for a while........badly!) Anywy, he called Iran and North Korea part of the "Axis of Evil," .......and they are continuing to live up to that name with each passing day!
Was it North Korea or Iran that coninued to build nuclear facilities to make atomic bonbs in spite of international pressure and sanctions not to!
Was it North Korea or Iran that kept boasting how they would "bury" and "destroy" and "burn" and humiliate their opponents.
Was it Iran or North Korea that keep testing missles and upsetting all their neighbors with the thought that once they get atomic weapons, they will have the missles to deliver them as well.
Gee, one sounds just like the other!
My dad used to have a solution to a situation like this.
He said: "Put them both in a large sack and hang if from the rafters...... then get a big stick and beat it!
Which ever one you hit will be the right one!
Now, back to Georgie boy and his Republicans.
The left wing here in Canada (The Liberal Party) keeps saying the "right" (Conservatives) has a secret agenda to swing the country far to the religious right, but this is a lot of crap and political posturing........... BUT!
In the States it's a different matter!!!!!
The "vast right-wing conspiracy" that attacked him during his presidency has been weakened, but continues to operate against President Obama, former President Clinton said Sunday. On NBC's "Meet the Press," Clinton was asked about the term his wife Hillary Clinton, now secretary of state, famously coined. "Is it still there?" host David Gregory asked.
"Oh, you bet. Sure it is. It's not as strong as it was, because America's changed demographically, but it's as virulent as it was," the former president replied. But fundamentally, he and his team have a positive agenda for America."
"I mean, they're saying things about him [Obama] -- you know, it's like when they accused me of murder and all that stuff they did," Clinton said, in an apparent reference to conspiracy theories surrounding the suicide of White House deputy counsel Vince Foster.
"It's not really good for the Republicans and the country, what's going on now," Clinton said. "I mean, they may be hurting President Obama. They can take his numbers down, they can run his opposition up.
The nation needs "a credible debate about what's the right balance between continuing to expand the economy through stimulus and beginning to move back to fiscal balance," Clinton said. "We need a credible debate about what's the best way to get to universal [health care] coverage."And comparing Obama to Hitler is not the way to do it! -ED.
