Reply to; "How far right?"

Kathy Shaidle is a woman who writes a blog called "Five Feet of Fury" and I can see where the "fury" part of it comes in!

I wrot a piece about the far right in the Sates yesterday, and got this piece of crap letter back!

Well something similar happened in German all right. A bunch of guys
with the word "socialist" in their name took over the car companies...

The "right wingers" you don't much care for are the ones who will save
the country, not destroy it. They ARE the traditional middle, if you
insist upon using those inaccurate and antiquated phrases. And they're
angry, with good reason.

Cheap ad hominem name calling just proves to me that you've never
listened to Limbaugh or Beck or Hannity, or have never actually met an
evangelical Christian. At least go to the trouble of not basing your
worldview on twenty year old "WKRP" reruns or old Margaret Atwood novels.

And you are clearly anything but impartial. Your faux outrage and moral
exhibitionism is that of a typical misinformed lib, and your cliched
anti-Americanism marks you clearly as a Trudeaupian Canuck snob. Take
the speck out of your own eye before you start ragging on others.

Kathy my dear, I am by nature a Conservative and have voted that way all my life.

It's a different story in the States, where what they are doing scares me.

If you have sympathy for them and their ideology, then you're not nearly as smart
as I thought!

I have listened extensively to Limburger and Sannity and since I spent 30
years in Radio, news and media, I can tell you that these assholes don't
believe half the stuff they say, but it's good for ratings!

All that said, I don't understand why you have to make this personal........
you really disappoint me!

Even though you have come down in my eyes I am going to leave your site up
on BlogsCanada.ca since I don't believe in censorship.... I will just read
what you say in a new light!

The idea that I would care a rat's ass about being on BlogsCanada or
your opinion is even sadder! You get more google traction by your link
to me than I would ever get from you.
And taking down other people's links on your OWN site isn't
"censorship". You really need to revisit your pet definitions of basic
English words.
And maybe you haven't heard but the politics is personal. When you start
name calling and questioning the motives of tens of millions of
patriotic americans, I do take that personally. If you're not similarly
principled, that is your affair. These 'far right' people you are so
afraid of are reacting to Obama's FAR LEFT ideas. If you don't like
them, you have Obama to blame and are looking out the wrong end of the
telescope.
"Conservatives" like you have helped make Canada the second rate country
it is.

Gary (The Eclectic) Timothy: -Well! It doesn't look a reconciliation is in the offing any time soon! The more personal it gets, the more far right and far left it becomes also. This could be a good example of why there is such a split in the people of the U.S. The divisiveness may have started with George W, but so far Obama has accomplished nothing but to exacerbate that divisiveness.
