This and That

I have to tell you that when it comes to the Middle East, I am mostly on Israel's side in any disputes because I trust their words and intentions more than the other side!

But!

That doesn't mean they are completely blameless in the whole mess.

Sure the Israelites are more often than not true to their word. But when the word is that they are going to continue building settlements where they shouldn't, I have to say "enough is enough!"

This intransigence, not only by the Jews, but the Arabs as well, is what has kept peace at bay for over sixty years. And if things don't change there might still be hostilities and war six hundred years from now.

Remember, the Middle East does not operate on a yearly, or even a centuries timeline.

They count stuff by the thousands of years.

Anyway, the U.S. is getting severely pissed about these settlements, as well they should, and unless Israel practises a little give and take we are not going to see any progress in the peace talks any time soon!

Next we zip a few thousand miles west to the coast of Canada.

No matter what the fanatics at P.E,T.A., (People for the ethical treatment of animals) or any publicity hungry celebrity says, the seal hunt is not going to stop folks.

The only problem with seals is that they look too cute!

If cows were this cute, we would all be vegetarians by now.

And don't give me that crap about how they are hacked to death.

What you see in the pictures is staged.

The seals are killed quickly and humanely. Most often with a bullet to the brain.

Plus, if the seal hunt were stopped, (For the fur, or for the meat) there are an awful lot of people up north, and on the east coast that would starve.

So there is no way the government is going to allow that to happen folks!

Get used to it!
