U.S. health care from an outsiders view!

I don't know nearly enough about the debate over the health care system in the States to comment on it with any objectivity or even clarity. But there is one thing for sure that I have gathered!

It seems there are a lot of legislators in the U.S. - both Republicans and Democrats, that just don't want people to have health care!

Period!

So this is short and simple!

What the hell is going on?

There needs to be away to ensure everyone has affordable health care. But what we don't need is socialize health. The government needs to keep there nose out.

So your plan would be what Michael? Who would you like to regulate insurance and make sure that everyone has access to affordable healthcare? I dont expect an answer but I would really like one because from what i have seen people will bitch and moan about socialized healthcare but have no alternative like you...I am just surprised that someone admits it. Usually when I ask that question I dont get an answer or get one that has nothing to do with an alternative.

It is not that anyone does not want health care for everyone, it is just that our government has so messed up everything it manages that most people know this is just another area where government control will destroy a good system that simply needs good management to correct the out of sight costs.

Its really simple Allan. The insurance companies have got us into the mess we are now and they are being supported(have brainwashed) the people who think that government healthcare will take away their freedoms. You can spot these types of people they are generally the ones demanding prayer in school and demanding that abortion be outlawed.

What do mean, you can spot these type of people? If that is so, so be it. But I don't demand prayer in school. But unlike others that fight to have it in all forms removed. I believed that it should not be changed.

Socialized healthcare may not always be the best but at least everyone in the country would have access to it if the controls are removed from insurance corporations with minium attached legislation.
