These death threats, proclamations, fatwas and opinions we hear about in the news are ridiculous, asinine and childish............, that much is obvious. But, sometimes these seriously deluded, marginally representative specimens of humanity cross the line into full fledged insanity!
One of the latest cases in Pakistan that you may have heard about involves the uproar over Facebook, and the German woman who suggested a "Everybody Draw Mohammed Day!" page!
This woman got the usual death threats, so there is nothing new there, BUT, a State lawyer is petitioning the court in that country for charges to be brought against three of Facebook's founders, Mark Zuckerberg, Dustin Moskovitz and Chris Hughes.
Charges that would result in the death penalty!
(What's really funny is that neither Dustin nor Chris have worked at the company in quite some time. On top of that, what the hell has Facebook got to do with what some woman in Germany writes!)
Anyway! Here is the statute that they would be charged under:
"Use of derogatory remark etc, in respect of the Holy Prophet, whoever by words, either spoken or written, or by visible representation, or by any imputation, innuendo, or insinuation, directly or indirectly, defiles the sacred name of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) shall be punished with death, or imprisonment for life, and shall also be liable for fine."What's really interesting about this law is the use of the same twisted logic they apply to everything else!
Seems after they kill you, you get a fine as well!
Pakistani law enforcement is apparently investigating the "crime," but no charges have yet been filed.
However, the lawyer in charge is confident that Zuckerberg and his two former partners will soon be arrested and shipped to Pakistan.
Right!

It is not Islam that is at fault, nor Muhammad (may my life be a sacrifice to Him). It is some Muslims, just as some Christians who do much the same thing. But here they seldom can get their way. But even here, "some Christians" (those who call themselve Christian but who attach their own interpretations of the Bible to make up their own version of Christianity) force their views on our schools and our people (including other Christians who do not see eye to eye with them). Don't throw out the baby with the bath water.

Such a shame that these deluded, dangerous zealots spread their stupidity so well. Most Muslims are kind, loving people who believe in spreading the words of peace and love throughout the world, but their lives are tarnished by these nuts!
