He was 72.

Using marijuana during pregnancy could affect a baby’s development by interfering with how a fetus forms, new research has shown.
images334VF3NY“Our advice is that [pregnant] mothers should avoid marijuana,”said scientist Tibor Harkany of the Karolinska Institute in Sweden, and the
University of Vienna, in Austria, who led a study detailed today (Jan. 27) in the EMBO Journal.
Women who smoked marijuana during pregnancy were more likely to have babies that looked like Tommy Chong if they were a boy, and Courtney Love if they were girls!

China’s Jade Rabbit Moon rover is in trouble after experiencing a “mechanical control abnormality”, state media report.
_72537784_020377554-1
The Moon exploration vehicle ran into problems due to the moon’s “complicated lunar surface environment”, Xinhua news agency said, citing science officials.
The rover landed in December as part of China’s Chang’e-3 mission – the first “soft” landing on the Moon since 1976.
It was expected to operate for around three months.
(In everyday language it got a “flat” folks, and the people at the motor league say it will be 30-35 years before they can make a service call!)

And since we are out in space ……………………………!
Stephan Hawking has just declared that “there are no black holes!”
The world renowned physicist stated that these holes should not be judged just by their colour in the future, but rather by their abilities!

And while we are on the subject of black vs. white!   (Notice the smooth segue from one topic into another!!!!)

It always made sense to me that humans developed blue eyes and white skin as they migrated out of Africa and into Northern Europe about 60,000 – 100,000 years ago ….., because there is far less sunshine, and then snow, the further north ya go! (White skin absorbs more vitamin ‘D’ and blue eyes are better in snow!)
BUT!
Apparently this blue eyes, light skin thing happened about 10,000 years ago when we settled down and became farmers and actors, instead of roving hunters!
Go figure!

A lot of people are commenting on the fashions displayed on the Grammies last night folks!
There were the usual cool dressers, and avant-garde posers,  but I started to notice that a lot of celebrities in the crowd were just plain low-life’s with absolutely no fashion sense what-so-ever kids!
I mean, these people either just threw on anything they could get their hands on, or deliberately wanted to create the impression that they were very “chic” and “with-it,” while all the time they were just showing how tacky and fashion bereft they really were!

(Don’t believe me …………………………, check THIS out!

AND FINALLY:  A few months ago, Jahmir Wallace — a New Jersey ten-year-old who was born without arms — decided he wanted to learn to play the trumpet.
So he did!
