Approximately 40 students at Unitah Elementary School in Salt Lake City, had their lunches revoked and dumped into the trash moments after being served because their parents had not yet paid their cafeteria balances.    (“Please sir, may I have some more!”)
A formal apology on behalf of Uintah Elementary School was issued, but the damage had already been done. Parents are in an absolute uproar about the whole situation on the Salt Lake City School District Facebook page. Who can blame them?

Canada’s electronic eavesdropping agency reportedly tracked the wireless devices of thousands of travelers by using information gleaned from free internet service at a major Canadian airport. A document indicates the Communications Security Establishment Canada was given information taken from wireless devices using the airport’s free Wi-Fi system.
The document shows the CSEC was then able to track travelers for a week or more as they showed up in other Wi-Fi locations in cities across Canada.
It’s not clear which airport was involved, but we suspect that it was ALL of them!

The U.S. State department is expected to release as early as Friday a crucial environmental assessment of TransCanada Corp.’s proposed Keystone XL pipeline, a move that would start a 90-day clock ticking towards a final decision.
The Canadian government is anticipating a positive report, saying the pipeline would not add significantly to greenhouse gas emissions because the oil sands would be developed with or without the pipeline. (Neil Young was not available for a comment since his tour is over, and he has gone back into seclusion!)
