We might be seeing the ‘end of the line’ for the Kardashians!
Here is one of the headlines I read this morning.
And it ain’t pretty!
Ratings are down. The hate rages strong. Are the Kardashians finally on the way out?
Personally, I don’t know if this is true or not …………………………, we can only hope!

Hillary Clinton, in an essay that published this week, cautions that opportunities for American women could vanish if the U.S. does not prioritize their economic advancement.
(It suggested that if the Republicans had their way these gains would be reversed!)
untitledWomen earned about 81 percent of males’ median wages in full-time jobs in 2012, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics’ annual report released in October. That’s an increase from 62 percent in 1979, the first year comparable data was available. The BLS says women who never married earn nearly 96 percent of a man’s wages; married women take home considerably less, at 77 percent.
“I’m very proud of my own daughter, and I look at all these young women I’ve been privileged to work with or know through Chelsea, and it’s hard to imagine turning the clock back on them,” Clinton writes. “We have work to do.”

untitledtrtKate and Jon Gosselin were at each others throats again this week!
They were going on about something or other, and even dragging their kids into it, but I didn’t really pay too much attention, so I can’t tell ya much!

Maybe Neil Young was right after all about the Oil Sands being dangerous!

images“Suncor Emergency Services personnel responded to a request for service early today after an employee was unable to be located,” the company said in a statement. It launched a search and notified the RCMP, and Alberta Occupational Health and Safety.
The employee was located a few hours later and declared deceased at the scene, Suncor said. It is working with the “appropriate authorities and will complete a full investigation into the cause of the incident.”

No other employees were involved, Suncor said.
MEANWHILE: Neil himself seems to be doing some serious backtracking on the whole “Oil Sands” issue!
Following a week of non-stop debate over Canada’s oil sands resources, rock star Neil Young was in Calgary Sunday for his final Honour the Treaties performance and to insist he isn’t on an “anti-tar-sands crusade.”
Speaking to reporters prior to Sunday evening’s concert, Mr. Young said he accomplished his goal of getting Canadians talking about First Nation treaty and environmental issues
Hmmmm! Sounds to us like Mr. Young speaks with forked tongue!

mars-mystery-rock-011714With NASA’s Opportunity rover wintering right now, just sunning itself on the rim of Endeavor Crater, the rover’s handlers here on Earth probably didn’t expect much excitement. However, they were in for a surprise over the past week, when pictures taken showed that a fist-sized rock suddenly appeared right next to its location.
As seen in the pictures, the image on the left was taken on Sol 3528, or Opportunity’s 3528th day on Mars, which equates to Dec. 26, 2013. The image on the right was taken on Sol 3540, or Jan. 7, 2014. Sometime between those two days, that rock suddenly made an appearance.
AFTER AN EXHAUSTIVE INVESTIGATION, NASA DETERMINED THAT MARTIAN KIDS WERE THROWING ROCK AT THE ROVER!

If you live anywhere from Saskatchewan to the Maritimes, get ready for another blast of frigid cold sweeping across the country this week kids.

AND FINALLY: Just how cold is it?

This might not seem to be much of a story kids ………………………., until ya get to the end of the article!
Winnipeg: Over a dozen Charleswood homes were without water on Sunday after a watermain break leaked water onto Laxdal Road.
Crews were out at the scene trying to repair the break for hours on Sunday, beginning at 8 a.m.
The break happened on Laxdal between Ridgewood and Brittany Drive, cutting off water to 16 homes.
A temporary water truck was brought in for those residents.
Nothing too unusual so far ………………., RIGHT?
Well read on: The area has been plagued by breaks in recent weeks with 10 breaks fixed so far in January!
