What kind of a choice is this for a giraffe?

 

                   

First Marius, now … Marius? After a young male giraffe was shot, dissected, and fed to animals at the Copenhagen Zoo on Sunday over concerns of inbreeding, a second Danish zoo says its giraffe of the same name may face a similar fate.

Jyllands Park has two male giraffes, and it’s just gotten the OK join a breeding program. “We can’t have two males and one female. Then there will be fights,” zookeeper Janni Poulsen says.
Marius has been deemed the one “unsuitable” for breeding. And so, if a female is found, Marius will likely be put down, as finding him a home would be no easy feat, the zoo says, per theGuardian.
Poulsen certainly expresses no qualms: “If we are told we have to euthanize [Marius] we would of course do that.”

Canadian Rapper Drake is starting to act more like an American, spoiled rotten celebrity:

Drake took a drubbing on Twitter Thursday after users slammed his complaints about being dropped from the cover of Rolling Stone following the death of Philip Seymour Hoffman.

It all started when Drake let loose with a few angry tweets, lashed out at the famed rock magazine for changing the cover that he says was supposed to feature him.

According to Drake’s tweets, the magazine “took my cover from me last minute and ran the issue.”

“I’m disgusted with that. RIP to Phillip Seymour Hoffman. All respect due. But the press is evil,” he continued, in an accompanying tweet that misspelled the actor’s first name.

Turns out the Old Testament is not much of a historical guide either……………..! Seems the camels a lot of the guys in the Old Testament rode around on were not actually domesticated until hundreds of years after the fact!

Russia has banned adoptions of Russian children by same-sex couples as well as single people from countries — like Canada — where same-sex marriage is legal.

The move comes in the midst of the Winter Olympic Games in Sochi — a sporting event that was already steeped in controversy over Russia’s law banning “gay propaganda” and threats to imprison or fine anyone partaking in unsanctioned protests on the subject.  

Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev signed the decree Monday and posted it on the government’s website Thursday.
WELL LISTEN FOLKS: At the risk of alienating a lot of left wing do-gooders, we here at “Perspective” don’t think gay couple should call themselves “MARRIED,”
or be allowed to adopt kids………………….!
If gay couples want to have the same benefits and rights as heterosexual couples, we are all for it!l
But don’t call it a “marriage,” and let kids be brought up in a traditional family unit comprising a mother and father, as nature intended. (I almost said “normal” instead of “traditional,” but that would have brought additional howls of protest, on top of the flack I am going to get already!)

Boy, have we got another “Asshole of the Day,” for ya today, bunky! (Two for the price of one!)
Police today announced charges have been filed against a man in connection with the fatal drive-by shooting of an Amish HORSE!. (Timothy Antonio Diggs, 22, is facing seven misdemeanor counts, including reckless endangerment, cruelty to animals, and firing into an occupied vehicle, according to Police!)

The horse was pulling a buggy with five family members around 9 PM on November 24 when “an unknown type car traveling north passed the buggy.”

The buggy’s occupants, a married couple and their three young children, told investigators that they heard “a loud noise, described as sounding like a firecracker” as the vehicle passed.

Upon returning to their farm, the family discovered that the horse had been shot in the chest.

The animal died before a veterinarian reached the family’s residence.
