Folks: These holes are not only amazing, but some are really terrifying – Especially the final one !
The sheer scale of these holes reminds you of just how tiny we are…

Glory Hole – Monticello Dam, California
A glory hole is used when a dam is at full capacity and water needs to be drained from the reservoir.
It is the largest spillway of this type, in the world, and consumes 14,400 cubic feet of water, every second.
Great Blue Hole, Belize
This incredible geographical phenomenon known as a blue hole is situated 60 miles off the mainland of Belize .
There are numerous blue holes around the world, but none as stunning as this one.
Sinkhole in Guatemala
These photos are of a sinkhole that occurred in Guatemala . The hole swallowed two homes and killed at least five people.
SHIT HOLE, Ottawa , Ontario , Canada
Annually, this hole swallows billions and billions of our Canadian Dollars! The money that falls into this hole is never heard from again, by Canadians. It is reported to be filled with at least 308 smaller holes called:’assholes.’

SPEAKING OF ASSHOLES: Over on the wrong side of the tracks…….! Our “Assholes of the Day!”
Montreal police are investigating after a bystander said she saw two officers having sex with two women in a cop cruiser.
Police say they’ll discipline at least one officer after a photograph showed a constable with a half-naked woman inside the marked car.
The photo, which was making the rounds on the Internet this week, shows a man in uniform sitting in the driver’s seat with a topless blonde woman on his lap.
Leila Saad, who took the photo, told QMI Agency that there were, in fact, two officers in the cruiser, each having sex with a woman.
Saad said she was with friends when they approached the vehicle and snapped the photo.
“At first we thought it was a joke,” said Saad. “(Then) we clearly saw the two policemen and two girls and what they were doing.”
Montreal police confirm that a six-year veteran of the force will face disciplinary action.
“At first we doubted it — we thought it was edited,” spokesman Ian Lafreniere said of the photo.
“But when we heard the testimony of the person who took the photo, we were able to move the investigation forward.”
Lafreniere wouldn’t say if the officer in the photo was having intercourse with the woman, but he spoke of “inappropriate acts” that could lead to a suspension.
He confirms a second officer is also being questioned and could also face sanctions.

Sen. Romeo Dallaire resigning from Senat: Retired lieutenant-general Romeo Dallaire witnessed unimaginable horrors and was helpless to stop the 1994 Rwandan genocide that some accounts say claimed more than one million lives over a 100-day period.
The decorated leader of the United Nations mission in Africa still suffers from post-traumatic stress disorder as a result of the slaughter of mostly Tutsis at the hands of Hutus.
His nightmare has been recounted in books and film and even songs were penned about one of the darkest moments in UN history when Dallaire’s pleas for additional forces to contain the massacre fell on deaf ears.
He tried to take his own life four times upon his return to Canada until he got the help he needed to treat depression and PTSD — issues he champions today to help other veterans.
Dallaire, a 36-year military veteran, resigned from the Senate on Wednesday after nine years in a place that has fallen into disrepute and seven years before age would have forced the Liberal appointee out.
He told a news conference health didn’t factor into his decision to leave.
Nor did the scandal and criminal investigation into some of his colleagues and the auditor general’s probe that could uncover further wrongdoing, he said.
“The PTSD was not a factor of my resignation. I’m going to be probably travelling more and more engaged internationally than I am right now.”
Dallaire said he was leaving with a “torn heart” to work on humanitarian issues, particularly on the child soldier front, genocide prevention, crimes against humanity, veterans advocacy, PTSD research and conflict resolution.

SASKATCHEWAN REPORT:
A black bear climbed up a hydro pole near Shellbrook, Sask., last Friday and stretched out for a snooze.
According to the post on SaskPower’s Facebook page Wednesday, crews were concerned about getting the bear down without hurting it or causing a power outage. But the animal decided to come down on its own when it was finished napping.
Shellbrook is about 150 km northeast of Saskatoon.

Well, boys and girls, I have never hidden the fact that on the whole I prefer to vote Conservative rather than Liberal, even though I try and stay as close to the middle as possible. (This is not always possible since both sides see the “middle” as being in a different location, but in spite of this parallax view I usually find ground zero, or as close to it as it’s possible to get.)
BUT!
I found THIS today and think it bears repeating: Math is hard. And it’s even harder in the world of partisan politics when competing politicians each have their own army of math wizards — often known as economists — ready and willing to offer proof that their numbers are better than the other guy’s numbers
Indeed, Tuesday’s PBO (Parliamentary Budget Office) report with the bland title “Revenue and Distribution Analysis of Federal Tax Changes: 2005-2013″ is a near slam dunk for the Harper Conservatives and a real problem for the case for change the opposition has been trying to build ahead of 2015.
For example, this year, individual Canadians will pay $17.1 billion less in income tax and $13.3 billion less in GST as a result of tax changes the Conservatives have made since 2006.
That’s $30 billion less in federal tax.
The NDP and Liberals say that windfall has all gone to Harper’s “wealthy friends.” Has it? Nope. Not at all.
“These changes have been progressive, overall,” the non-partisan PBO said. “Low and middle income earners have benefited more, in relative terms, than higher income earners.”
The PBO then explains, in clear, unambiguous language, that the richest Canadians contribute much more, relatively speaking, to our national revenue now than when the Harper gang took over.
And the PBO says “low-middle income earners” have benefitted the most among all groups. The tax savings for these folks amount to a 4% increase in their after-tax income. For the richest 10%? An improvement of just 1.4%, the smallest of any income level.

OR!
The Conservative’s tax cuts since 2005 have helped reduce income inequality in Canada, the parliamentary budget officer said Tuesday.
For years, the opposition has attacked Prime Minister Stephen Harper for policies they say favoured the rich at the expense of the poor and middle class.
In question period Tuesday, Harper gloated about his government’s record.
“Let me just note today the report of the parliamentary budget officer, who knows that this government has reduced taxes for Canadians by 12%, with the greatest benefits for low and middle income earners,” he said.
The PBO’s report also noted, however, that the top 20% of earners received the most money back as a consequence of the tax cuts, because they made the most money.
But in relative terms, budget officer Jean-Denis Frechette said that “middle-low income earner received the greatest financial benefit.”
Since 2005, the government has cut personal income taxes by a single point — to 15% — and cut two points off the GST/HST. The moves have overall, been “progressive and made income distribution more just,” Frechette said.
However, while Canadians have more money in their pockets because of the tax cuts, the government has billions less money to spend on programs, the report noted
