Folks, I hate to admit it, but I’m an idiot!
Your too trusting reporter was reading the paper this morning, and I actually thought the NRA was going to do something SENSIBLE!
(Oh how wrong I was!)
It appeared as if the NRA was going to object to serving alcohol at gun shows, which would have made eminent sense!
But i was mistaken!
What they really said was that the “Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission” was putting too many RESTRICTIONS on the sale of alcohol at gun shows, so they couldn’t go along with it!
HE-HAW!

Jeff Bridges said he is NOT interested in politics ……….., which is a shame, since it would have been SO cool to have “The Dude” in the U.S. Senate.

Meanwhile, the Republicans are dropping talks of “Impeachment” and “Lawsuits” against Obama like a hot potato!
Seems the average American voter is dead-set against this ……………….., and the G.O.P. just can’t figure out why!

One of the many atrocity stories associated with the armed clash between the ISIS (Islamic State of Iraq and Syria) jihadist group and government forces in Syria and Iraq is the claim that ISIS militants have been killing and beheading even children (or specifically Christian children) in the areas they occupy, where they reportedly give non-Muslims ultimatums to convert, pay fines, or suffer “death by the sword.” In particular, Mark Arabo, an American businessman and humanitarian who is a national spokesman for Iraqi Christians, has been making appearances on media outlets such as CNN in an attempt to publicize claims of ISIS beheading of children:

“Chief Blair said in his statement he was prepared to fight a Duel over the issue!” Toronto Police spokesman Mark Pugash told the Toronto Sun on Tuesday.

I was wondering why they had to call in the cops, and dogs, and even a helicopter to look for a lost two year old kid in a cornfield just north of London.............., until I found out the field was about 100 acres BIG!

Well folks, the protests, vandalism and looting sparked by the recent police shooting of an unarmed black teenager in Missouri underline the tense relations between law enforcement and the black community in the U.S.
Although it has been more than 20 years since a jury acquitted four police officers of using excessive force against Rodney King, prompting riots in Los Angeles, many blacks still perceive they are unfairly targeted by law enforcement.
In the case of Missouri teen Michael Brown, witnesses say he was fatally shot by a white police officer Saturday while walking on a street near his suburban St. Louis home. The shooting has prompted violent protests in Brown’s community.
Last month, more accusations of racism followed the death of an unarmed black teenager, who died when a police officer applied a chokehold on him.
The man, Eric Granger, had been allegedly selling loose cigarettes.
Police forces have tried various strategies to improve relations over the years, including community-oriented policing, attempts to get more police on the streets walking beats and the hiring of more black officers.
But it’s difficult to say how effective these programs have been.

AND FINALLY, A LONE SANE VOICE IN A SEA OF INSANITY!
CAIRO – Egypt’s top cleric has condemned the extremist Islamic State group that has been on a rampage in Iraq and Syria, describing it as a “terrorist” organization that poses a danger to Islam and Muslims.
imagesS2FLCY2WThe Islamic State is “violating all the Islamic principles and the intentions of the Shariah (Islamic law),” said Grand Mufti Shawki Allam, Egypt’s highest religious authority.
In his remarks, which were carried by Egypt’s state news agency late Tuesday, Allam also said the “bloody extremist group” had tarnished the image of Islam and paved the way for the destruction of Muslim nations.
“Confronting terrorism requires international and regional co-operation on all levels,” the cleric urged. “The Arab world’s future is facing a hard test.”

See, now this guy even LOOKS normal!
