Ladies and Gentlemen:
After years of research, countless consultations with Mel Brooks, fund raising and promotion, I am pleased to announce that we are going to make a fortieth anniversary re-make of that classic film "Blazing Saddles!"
Due to the politically correct climate we find ourselves in these days we naturally had to make a few adjustments and compromises along the way, but I believe it will still amuse and inspire our target audience.
According to Mel, by compromising on the changes the studio wanted, we are going to, “Lose the fart scene, cut out any racial and ethnic jokes, edit scenes where a horse and an old lady get punched, take out all the violence and sexual innuendos, stop the inappropriate typecasting of western films, and re-shoot Black Bart with a white actor!”
The bad new in all this is that the film will now only be about six and a half (6 1/2) minutes long, but the good news is that we can do it on a budget of six hundred dollars! ($600.00)
