What a way to start the week!

Dear Readers:

The Muslim faith doesn't NEED to be violent or radical kids, but apparently it WANTS to be that way.

Radical Islam (ISIS) has issued a statement, or press release, or manifesto, or something or other like that which says Islam IS a religion of violence, while at the same time 5%, or one out of twenty Mosques in France are being closed (Or at least under investigation) for their radical preaching!

And we wonder why xenophobia is running rampant!!!

I just read about a guy who had a sex change from a man to a woman, and then complained to the Human Rights Commission when she [sic] wasn't allowed to compete in a track and field event!

A Canadian cyclist who transitioned from man to woman — then had to prove to sporting officials she was sufficiently female — has won a key battle in her unique human-rights complaint over the policing of athlete gender.
Kristen Worley alleges world sports bodies have set up a discriminatory system that starts with humiliating sex-verification tests, and continues with anti-doping rules that prevent transitioned competitors from getting enough synthetic hormones.
Testosterone supplements are banned as performance enhancing, but Toronto-based Worley — unable to produce any sex hormones naturally — says she needs them just to stay healthy and not fall behind other cyclists.

Go figure!

Remember 'Dolly the sheep?' (That was the first animal ever to be cloned!) Well scientists have been cloning the 'clone' for several generations now and they are apparently all doing well. 

 

(The only problem is they don't know which is which!)

Well kids, as you probably know, we here at Allan's Perspective like to keep you informed on what's going on right across Canada and we have startling news out of P.E.I. that the street there are not safe anymore:

A 23-year-old Summerside, P.E.I., man faces charges of dangerous driving and fleeing police following an incident July 30. Summerside Police said, during regular patrols at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, a vehicle in the Central Street area was speeding well above the posted speed limit as it traveled north. 

Police made attempts to stop the vehicle but the driver fled, cutting through a gas station parking lot, and continued driving erratically east bound on Route 2.

According to police, the vehicle was weaving in and out of traffic and passing cars on a solid line with oncoming traffic. Police, worried about the safety of the public, determined the chase was too dangerous and stopped the pursuit.

A day later, on Sunday around 5 p.m., police said they arrested the man and wanted to assure the public that this wasn't the start of some nasty bout of lawlessness in the community.

While we're on the subject of P.E.I. a mansion there is now officially off the market. The six-bedroom, eight-bathroom home — which features a whale watching tower — sold on Friday for a little under $4.7 million. In 2009, it was listed for $7.75 million and had the distinction of being the only home on P.E.I. listed through Sotheby's in New York.
